The Rivers Rockabilly Trio are one of the top 1950's tribute bands of the greater Philadelphia region and when you see one of their shows you'll understand why!
It's American music that you rarely hear on the radio anymore but you can still hear rockabilly played perfectly by this band from southeastern PA! And, you won't just hear it, you'll experience it all combined with stories, showmanship and an amazing energy that makes the Rivers Rockabilly Trio perfect for your next event.
Whether you book one of their specialty shows like "Buddy Holly" or "Rockabilly Days," or allow the band to come and do their thing, your audiences will be enthralled as The Rivers play the music of rockabilly and rockabilly-influenced artists from the years when American rock and roll became a world-wide phenomenon, 1952 - 1960. This band is perfect for festivals, events, theaters and community gatherings of all ages.

Dave Spencer Trio
This Phoenixville, PA-based group has a sound both sophisticated and minimalist. Lead singer and multi-instrumentalist Dave Spencer has been performing since his early teens. Trained in classical piano, Dave has also mastered the acoustic and electric guitar and ukulele. He performed in high school with the local band Hot Fossil Project, appearing at may venues, including Steel City Coffee House. His interest in music led him to a career at Steel City Coffee House where he manages the music venue and hosts the very popular Thursday open mic night. Joining Dave on percussion and backup vocals is Eli Wenger. Eli is no stranger to the music scene having participated in many musical ventures over the years, including the Los Halos band. He currently owns and operates Los Halos Studios in Phoenixville and works part-time at Steel City Coffee House. The Dave Spencer Trio (which is actually a duo) has appeared at premiere music venues and listening rooms in the Philadelphia area, such as Burlap and Bean (Newtown Square), Puck (Doylestown), Chaplin's (Spring City) the Wilmington Grand, Eagleview Concert Series and, of course, Steel City Coffee House. Dave and Eli are working on putting out their first EP in 2010. Dave Spencer can be booked as a solo act as well.

Eric Lee Bukert
Wielding the name “Ralph Pagano” (his grandfather’s cousin) this baritone ukulele had become the catalyst for Eric Lee Burkert to begin his journey as a singer/songwriter. With his grandfather to thank for this legend of a instrument, he set off with ideas that most people doubted would work on a public stage. It didn’t take long for people to catch on. To date, Eric has collaborated with friends playing banjo, guitar, bass clarinet, toy piano, upright bass, melodica, pianos, the infamous mic’d suitcase and more. With influences such as Justin Vernon (of Bon Iver), Sam Amidon, Fleet Foxes and the Tallest Man on Earth, Eric has come to write for the purpose of individual growth and remembrance and for group storytelling. He puts great emphasis on being lyrically sensitive and stresses the journey that a song can hold. He likes to explain it like this: "Every time I sing one of my songs I allow it to bring me back to the day I wrote it and to relive every emotion I had felt. I like to try and articulate just how real each song still is to me. I will sing a song for anyone, anywhere and at anytime, until the day comes when I feel I no longer want to relive that time in my life. When I have finally grown to no longer benefit from reliving it. Whether the song takes me back to a good or bad time, I feel it is necessary for me to deal with it this way." The simplicity of the ukulele allows for a great vulnerability in his performances. It leaves room for each listener to build their own music into it and to truly connect with him and with themselves.
What people are saying about Eric Lee Burkert:
"Eric Burkert is definitely a new sound. He's Philly-famous for his Uke AND the fact that he colaborates with so many different people. His lyrics are vintage-romantic, with a dask of soul." (Uni Cam)
"Local artist Eric Lee Burkert is making a stir in the singer/songwriter community. A great find, Eric possesses intelligent writing ability combined with the ability to devise creative instrumental arrangements that add up to your listening pleasure." (Steel City Coffeehouse) |
