Blob Ball 2008:
The owners of Iron Town Productions were instrumental in the creation of the
First Annual Blob Ball
to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Sci-Fi movie, The Blob, filmed in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. Iron Town Productions booked, promoted, and hosted the event at a local venue. The featured musical act was The Rivers Rockabilly Trio.

The Daniel J. Detwiler Phoenixville YMCA Grand Opening: When the local YMCA needed musical acts to celebrate the grand opening of their multi-million dollar addition, they sought the services of Iron Town Productions. We booked a week of (entertainment) musical guests to entertain current members and encourage new membership agreements. Acts booked for the week included Matt Brown, professional fiddler; David Falcone, fingerstyle guitarist; Monica McIntyre, cellist/vocalist; The Homegrown String Band; a family specializing in bluegrass and traditional Appalachian region music and flatfoot dancing.

Steel City Coffee House: Iron Town Productions owner Jane Tucker is currently the exclusive booking agent for Steel City Coffee House, booking over 120 shows per year.
Bistro on Bridge: Iron Town Productions currently books a Wednesday night music series at Bistro on Bridge at 212 Bridge Street.
Columbia Bar & Grille: ITP has and is currently providing some booking services for this upscale restaurant/bar, including booking outdoor entertainment for those enjoying al fresco dining and entertainment for their 2nd floor bar area.

General Events

Blob Ball: Iron Town Productions owner, Jane M. Tucker and Stu Fredericks of The Rivers Rockabilly Trio created Blob Ball in 2008 to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Sci-Fi movie, The Blob, filmed in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. Iron Town Productions booked, promoted, and hosted the event at a local venue. The featured musical act was The Rivers Rockabilly Trio. Since then Blob Ball has become the official kick-off party for BlobFest. The 2nd Annual Blob Ball was held in 2009 and was sold out within minutes of opening the door. The third annual Blob Ball is in production.
Battle of the Open Mics, August 2009: This multi-venue event was conceived of by Iron Town Productions as a way to promote the open mics of small venues in the Philadelphia area. Burlap and Bean (Newtown Square, Delaware County), Chaplin’s (Spring City, Montgomery County), Puck (Doylestown, Bucks County) and Steel City Coffee House (Phoenixville, Chester County) all participated. ITP services included planning, promoting and hosting this event.
Emerging Artist Talent Competition, February-March 2010: Iron Town Productions conceived of and produced this event. The competition involved five rounds (spoken word, instrumentalist, two singer/songwriter rounds, and bands). The rounds culminated in the Grand Finale in which a grand prize winner and first place winners were announced. Grand Prize was $250.00. ITP promoted, managed, and hosted the event.
Events for Non-Profit Organizations:
Wine & Cheese Tasting featuring Trevor Gordon Hall, September 26, 2008: A benefit event planned, booked, and promoted by Iron Town Productions, this Wine & Cheese Tasting was a fundraiser for a local non-profit organization. Although Iron Town Productions donated services for this event, it is a fine example of the type of event we are capable of producing for clients.
Wine Tasting featuring Chris Adams, September 11, 2009: Citizen Advocacy of Chester County was so happy with the previous event, they brought in Iron Town Productions again to plan, book, and promote this second wine tasting/fundraiser.
Two Village Concert 2009: The Phoenix Village Art Center contacted Iron Town Productions to produce its annual fundraising event. ITP services for this event included booking national entertainment, providing sound services, and internet promotional services.
Events managed for the Phoenixville Area Business Association
Flower Power Music Festival, October 26, 2008: Iron Town Productions produced this event for a local business association. ITP involvement included initial planning, finding a corporate sponsor, booking, contracting for branding and promotional services, advertising, and ticket selling.
Historic Phoenixville Arts Stroll, October 3, 2009: Iron Town Productions worked with the Phoenixville Area Business Association to produce this 1st ever event in downtown Phoenixville. ITP’s role in the event included planning, booking of 18 musicians to play on the street, contracting for branding and promotional services, and advertising. ITP is currently involved with planning the 2nd Annual Historic Phoenixville Arts & Crafts Stroll to be held on October 2, 2010.
Networking Events: ITP has been involved with the planning of three networking events for the Phoenixville Area Business Association, including two Bizness Shuffles (speed-networking event), and a networking event featuring a talk on social media. ITP’s roles in these events were: planning, the provision of promotional materials (posters/postcards) and promoting the event online and through news releases.
Special Dining Events: Iron Town Productions has worked with the Phoenixville Area Business Association to organize a variety of dining events that promote Phoenixville, including the following:
Progressive Dinners: These dinners (3 held so far) offer 4 course meals, each course at a different restaurant in walking distance in Phoenixville. ITP’s role has been to organize, promote, and sell tickets to these events. These tours have been extremely successful and enjoyed by locals and visitors alike.
Historic Inns of Phoenixville Dinner & Tour: This event featured a 40 minute narrated tour of Phoenixville’s historic inns followed by a 3-course dinner at the participant’s choice of either the Columbia Bar & Grille (circa 1893) or The Pickering Creek Inn (circa 1850). This tour sold out in advance. Iron Town Productions planned, promoted, and sold tickets to this event.
Events in Production
Wine & Dine Event: This event is in production and features Chaddsford Winery, Brick Oven Bread & Cheese Shoppe and Marly’s BYO. ITP planned, promoted, and is selling tickets to this event.
2nd Annual Historic Arts & Crafts Stroll: To feature over 50 Artists & Crafters on the 200 block of Bridge Street. Event planned for October 2, 2010.
Acoustic Brews Singer/Songwriter Contest: This is a musical version of the single-elimination sports tournaments. We start with 16 singer/songwriters paired against each other, with only one advancing. The event will go for four weeks until the final two singer/songwriters battle it out for the grand prize of $150.00 and a performance slot at Steel City Coffee House.
